This September, The Greenway Hotel and Spa will be opening its doors for a rare glimpse behind the scenes, and you're invited.

On Sunday 7th September, between 1pm and 4pm, guests are welcome to join us for a relaxed and celebratory afternoon at our 16th-century Elizabethan manor, just outside Cheltenham.

Whether you're a local resident, a loyal guest, or discovering The Greenway for the very first time, our Open Day offers a chance to uncover the character and charm of this historic Cotswold retreat.

What to Expect

Begin your visit with a complimentary drink, then join one of our guided tours to discover the stories behind our luxurious bedrooms, five-bubble-rated Elan Spa and beautifully manicured gardens. Prefer to take things at your own pace? You are welcome to explore freely and soak up the atmosphere.

Outside, the gardens will be filled with the sounds of the Cheltenham-based i-Sing Choir and little ones can enjoy garden games including croquet, giant jenga, and ring toss.

Our talented chefs from the three AA Rosette Garden Room Restaurant will be serving delicious barbecue dishes available to purchase throughout the afternoon.

Guests can also enjoy a discounted mini-treatment in our tranquil Elan Spa, a perfect introduction to our award-winning wellness offering.

A Place Steeped in Story

Built in 1584, The Greenway has long been part of the Shurdington landscape. The hotel takes its name from the ancient pre-Roman path that winds past the grounds and out across the Cotswold Hills, a quiet reminder of the footsteps that came before.

Today, we continue that legacy, blending timeless elegance with thoughtful hospitality. In just 18 months, we will celebrate 80 years as a hotel, and this special afternoon marks the start of the countdown.
