Nestled on the edge of the beautiful Cotswolds, Cheltenham is the perfect place to visit for a Staycation holiday and a chance to focus on your health and wellbeing.
The picturesque town has been established as a spa resort since 1716, following the discovery of mineral springs and their natural benefits. Now more than ever, it’s important to take time to look after your mind, body and soul, and this spa town offers plenty of ways to relax.
But if you need further persuasion, we’ve listed our five favourite luxurious ways to relax and unwind on a spa staycation holiday in Cheltenham…
1. Retreat to Elan Spa
Just a short drive from Cheltenham and set in eight acres of stunning countryside grounds, The Greenway Hotel and Spa is home to the sumptuous Elan Spa. An oasis of tranquillity and bliss, step inside our spa and indulge your senses once again.
Although things may look a little different at Elan Spa, your wellbeing and relaxation remains our primary focus. All visits to Elan Spa and leisure facilities, including our pool, will need to be pre-booked.
2. Safely shop till you drop
As well as its reputation as a luxurious spa resort, Cheltenham is also recognised as a key shopping destination that’s perfect for a weekend exploring. Retail therapy is a must-do on any spa staycation holiday, and many shops have now reopened with social distancing measures in place.
Naturally falling into quarters, Cheltenham offers traditional shopping streets. You can find a mix of High Street brands and unique independent retailers on The Promenade, Montpellier and Bath Road. Enjoy an afternoon winding your way around the eclectic mix of shops, cafes and pubs.
