Our thermal suite is a collection of rooms with elements of either wet, dry or hot conditions, designed to take your body on a thermal journey. The indoor thermal suite at the Elan Spa, consists of sauna, steam room, sanarium and Hydrotherapy swimming pool.
Hydrotherapy pools are swimming pools with a gentle current that runs throughout, perfect for relaxing in, as well as swimming, jogging or walking. The underwater massage stations target different muscle groups and areas of the body, with a combination of heat, air and water, in the form of air loungers and massage jets.
Recommended usage time: 20 minutes
Our indoor steam room offers a wet and hot climate, with temperatures between 43-46C and 100% humidity. Health benefits include; improvement of circulation and lower blood pressure, clearing congestion, improved skin health, loosening stiff joints, boosting the immune system and reducing stress.
Recommended usage time: 12 minutes
The Finnish style sauna consists of temperatures between 80-90C creating a hot, dry environment with low humidity. The use of the sauna is particularly beneficial for stressed muscles and joints, whilst the increased perspiration helps the detoxification through elimination of toxins.
Recommended usage time: 10 minutes
The sanarium is a type of sauna. It lies somewhere between a sauna and a steam room, combining both benefits. The temperature is lower than a sauna, around 60C and has controlled humidity of no more than 55% creating a gentle temperature, which creates a relaxing and comfortable environment.
Recommended usage time: 12 minutes
The outdoor vitality pool is situated in our enclosed spa garden. With warm water is heated to a temperature of around 38C and water jets that gently massage you to relieve tension, aid relaxation and alleviate muscular aches and pains, it’s the perfect place to sit back and relax.
